I have a "02 MDX wth Navi and Touring. I have 44k on this.2 days earlier I had actually this inspect engine irradiate coming on and after pair of miles the VTM-4 light. I have complied with the manual and also checked my gas lid and also drove because that 3-4 trips. Yet these 2 lamp come top top every time. I had actually the same problem a couple of months ago.Thought it to be EGR value issue but it turn outthat a rat had my oxygen censor and wiring because that dinner.A $450 CAD settle for me, mainly in work time in recognize outthe dead rat and also his work.. Hope this is no the case for you.

I take it it come the dealer and got the EGR valve replaced. Have actually been driving because that 3 job now and no troubles whatsoeveer. Hopefully ns dont have actually a rat problemCheers
Add me to the list.....my inspect engine and also VTM 4 light come on this morning. Called Acura that Westchester and also dropped it off at 2:30 this afternoon. They referred to as me at 6pm and said the X to be ready. They replaced the EGR valve. Lock even discovered a broken catalytic converter shield and also replaced it. I had the same problem with the inspect engine light/VTM-4. My 2003 MDX has 54,500 miles and also last week both lights come on. Ns took it come Pohanka Acura in Chantilly and they told me the it had to execute with the ethanol mix consisted of in gas nowadays and also how perceptible Honda engines are. ???? ns use shell all the time and also their ethanol contents is only up to 10% by volume. Ns did a search right here to see what everyone had troubles with. For this reason I request Pohanka...Did you check the EGR valve, the oxygen sensor, the idle regulate valve, etc. They say they did. Go they really perform all that? You be the judge.So together of now, I"m "driving" the MDX with two lamp on. No obvious difference in the driving from before. So their next solution ideal now, empty the tank, refill, check out what happens. Do this about two to three times and also see what wake up plus they"ll hook it as much as their computer again and see what the shows. Luckily, ns don"t feel any difference in driving yet will save monitoring the situation.Needless come say, I"m not a happy camper.Any thoughts, comments, opinions would be greatly appreciated.p.s.
