My computer"s specs are:

Motherboard - Gigabyte X470 AORUS GAMING 5 WIFICPU - AMD Ryzen 7 2700XSSD - Samsung 860 Evo 500GB ; ADATA SX8200

I simply upgraded to an NVME SSD, which is the ADATA drive, now I need to accessibility my SATA SSD, which is a Samsung 860 Evo, because that transferring few of my files. I had unplugged the Samsung drive, because the home windows installer thinks the I desire to multi-boot.

My BIOS setups are set to default values, except for the CSM setting (disabled) and also Fast boot turned on. The BIOS version is F6.

I heard that SATA is hot-swappable, so can I plug the Samsung SATA SSD after booting to windows from the brand-new NVME SSD?

Do I require to collection anything in the BIOS or in windows to be able to plug the SATA SSD when the system is turn on?

I don"t check out anything around SATA hot swap in mine BIOS settings, walk this mean that my mechanism doesn"t support SATA warm swap, and I can"t plug mine SATA SSD when the mechanism is powered on?
