My name is Daniel and also in it's Hebrew beginning it method "God is mine judge". I am not spiritual in any way and have small to zero knowledge of the Hebrew language.

You are watching: God is my judge in hebrew

Through mine research, the ideal direct translate into in Hebrew the "God is mine judge" is this:

אלוהים הוא השופט שלי

I think this watch super sexy and also would love it as a tattoo down my forearm. Firstly, I simply want to see that the is the correct translation and also reads correctly in Hebrew. I would certainly hate to have a poorly interpreted tattoo on mine skin because that ever...

Secondly, I understand that Hebrew is review from right to left, so have to I obtain the tattoo exactly like אלוהים הוא השופט שלי and just understand that it is check out right come left? Or would certainly there be a much better way to write it. I am assuming specifically as is would be the correct way of doing it...

Thirdly, and also lastly, walk anybody understand of any kickass Hebrew fonts the I could download or purchase to architecture this tattoo up?

Thanks for taking the moment to read! :)

It seems you post a Tattoo post! thank you for your submission, and also though your motivation and sentiment is more than likely great, it's more than likely a bad idea because that a useful matter. Tattoos space forever. Hebrew is written in different way from English and also there is part subtlety between different letter (ר vs. ד, or ח vs ת vs ה). If no you nor the tattoo artist speak the language you can conveniently end up v a long-term mistake. Check out www.badhebrew.com for examples that are at the same time sad and hilarious. Possibly you can hire a aboriginal Hebrew speaker to assist with design and also layout and to come through you to guard against mishaps, but otherwise it's a negative idea. Finding an Israeli tatto artist would occupational as well. Give thanks to you and also have a great time learning and also speaking v us!

Through my research, the ideal direct translation in Hebrew of "God is my judge" is this

The direct translation is דני אל. Girlfriend know, "Daniel"? It's what the surname means. Justice is דין (din) and also judge is דיין (dayan); שופט (shofet) is an ext like "ruler". You have pretty azer phrasing too. There's currently a short method to to speak it; why are you gift needlessly wordy top top purpose?

I'm going to echo the automod and also suggest that getting permanent markings in languages no you nor your tattoo artist actually understands is a fairly bad idea.

So I'm confused... I don't want words "Daniel" in Hebrew. I want the phrase "God is my judge" in Hebrew... Is Google interpret wrong?

אלוהים הוא השופט שלי seems to through the translation anywhere the web. What's a an ext accurate translate in of "God is mine judge"?

That's the totality reason I come here, I will definitely shot to find a Hebrew or Israeli tattoo artist. I just want to walk them v the correct architecture as I have actually designed all my tattoos...

It's downvoted since people don't want you to make a large mistake.

Technically her translation is correct. That's how would you describe to somebody what surname Daniel means. However as a tattoo it's really terrible. Likewise keep in mind that "אלוהים הוא השופט שלי" is in modern Hebrew while friend presumably desire Biblical language. In mine opinion:

Don't do tattoo at all.

Make tattoo in language friend know.

Go come a Hebrew aboriginal tattoo master.

Hi and thanks because that posting!

Tattoos are permanent. Girlfriend preferably shouldn't write God's surname in Hebrew in a tattoo at all. But, for assorted reasons, if you firmly insist on composing God's surname in a tattoo, you probably should use the different spelling אלוקים instead.

Did you get your "God is my judge" tattoo already?
