Whenever I would tell my dad ns was to run out and also ask him if he needed anything he would certainly unfailingly say, "A pound of $20s."

It's slow-moving at occupational today therefore I wanted to see just how much money my dad actually wanted.

You are watching: How much is a pound of twenties

First, a $20 bill weighs 0.00220462 ounces.

454 bills would make an oz of receipt (x=1 / 0.00220462)

An ounce of $20 bills amounts to $9,080 (x=454 * 20)

16 ounce of $20 bills would equal $145,280 (x= $9,080 * 16).

So ns guess mine dad wasn't feather to it is in super rich, just enough to pay under his mortgage.

Help me with any type of errors, mathematics is not my an initial language.

Uh, no. A dollar invoice is approximately 1 gram. Together this site observes, that renders 454 bills per pound, not per ounce.

So, 454*$20 = $9080.

Your dad should have actually asked for a pound of C-notes...

Thank you. I checked the mathematics on this and I believed I to be going crazy.

Well shit. That was more modest 보다 I provided him credit for. I think I confused myself turning grams come ounces and also the multiplication just went downhill indigenous there.
