I have a 1990 250 Trail ceo (4x4). How many turns out have to the air/fuel mixture screw be? Is your a set position or perform I have to work v it until I acquire the engine to a specific point? many thanks for any aid you can provide me!
Air/fuel screw in til" easy seated then the end 2 1/2 turns, +/- 1/4. If the isn"t in that selection your idle jet is wrong. Additional out it"s come small, further in it"s come big. Allow us recognize what girlfriend find.

Awesome! Thanks once again renobadboy!! I readjusted the needle and the waiting screw then took it because that a ride. Every little thing seems come be working GREAT!! i was wondering on the wait screw and also idle adjustment though. I’m no real optimistic of what ns listening for once I adjust them, I have an idea, yet I am no an expert. The waiting screw is the 2 ¼ and the idle is changed so that the engine runs as sluggish as it have the right to without sputtering, or dying on me. Yet it i will not ~ idle low enough to readjust to Forward, Reverse, etc. There is no dying. The brake is on the gearbox and I simply figured that you room suppose to use that for adjust gears. To be I ideal or should it idle low enough to readjust gears without using the brake?? Thanks!
It should idle down sufficient to change gears easily. Room you turning the idle screw top top the carb.? I believe it have to be roughly 1,100 R.P.M. Or so. ~ above the air/fuel screw turn it out until it simply sputters then back in to eliminate the sputter. If that won"t idle down with the screw examine the convey on the height of the carb wherein the cable go in. Some people think that"s where you readjust the idle, yet its not. Let me know just how it come out.

So... Everything runs idles fine on mine 1992 trailboss other than it seems to obtain too much air previous a certain throttle point... Is this the function of the wait screw?
If so and that fixes my problem im gonna feel like an idiotfornot knowingabout the air adjustment screw before this since this problem has to be stumping me and my buddies because that a if especially due to the fact that we cleaned the carbohydrate out and it starts and also idles fine. Just boggs under after a particular point when providing it gas
